Despite any rise in expenses, Chief Financial Officer Adam Rymer informed The Wall Street Journal that customers continue to receive superior value overall when compared to competing chains.

Rymer mentioned that any potential rise in prices would be "modest," as he aims to maintain the affordability of menu items for patrons. The timing of this possible price adjustment remains uncertain.    

After hearing the recent reports of potential price hikes, angry customers flocked to Facebook to voice their opinions, according to the U.S. Sun.

One wrote that Chipotle is "already pricey enough," and added: "haven't eaten Chipotle in months." Someone else noted: "Stopped eating there several months ago - skimpy servings for the high price we were paying - and we never added meat = vegetarian!"    

Fans Express Their Frustration On Social Media

An additional user commented: "Good. I need to start eating healthier and more at home," as one other chimed in: "get ready to pay more for EVERYTHING."

One other Chipotle customer accused the chain of "greed" and another said the fast food giant should get ready "to lose customers."      

Back in September, diners took to social media to express their frustration after being served what they described as “half-sized” burritos at full price.

The "downsizing" sparked a wave of complaints, with some customers threatening to boycott the chain altogether, calling the situation “actually insane.”
