Chris Hemsworth, 40, and Elsa Pataky, 47, have been facing break-up rumors for quite a while now, following reports that they were “drifting apart” and had even taken separate vacations last year.
The Australian actor and Spanish model and actress were first introduced by their agent back in 2010 and got married just a few months later! They share three children together: 11-year-old daughter India and 10-year-old twin sons Tristan and Sasha.
Chris Hemsworth And Elsa Pataky Take Separate Vacations
The couple went on separate vacations with their children in September 2023, which really caused fans to wonder whether it was part of a trial separation. The Thor: Love and Thunder actor took daughter India on a trip to Iceland, while the Fast Five actress took their twin sons on a trip to Japan. They all seemed to have the time of their lives if social media pictures are anything to go by, but it didn't stop the rumors about divorce from circling.

"Chris and Elsa are raising eyebrows for splitting the kids and vacationing apart," an insider explained to Life & Style at the time. "He recently talked about stepping away from Hollywood to focus on family, so it is weird that they wouldn't all travel together."
The following month, the Avengers: Endgame actor went to Abu Dhabi with his brothers, while Elsa went to Spain for a separate red carpet event. "Some friends think the worst, that this points to problems in the marriage," the source continued, adding: "Being apart forces you to look at what your marriage may be lacking. They know they have to work at it and they don't see that as a negative."
Insiders Say They Have 'Drifted Apart' And Argue About 'Where To Live'
A separate source explained to In Touch that nobody really knows what's going on in their marriage, and said: "The status of Chris and Elsa's marriage is a question mark. The separate vacations are a huge red flag, but it's more than that. They're still very much a united family, but they've drifted apart as a couple."
It appears that the source was right in terms of them being united as a family, as they spent the holidays together in Australia.

Speaking of Australia, a source also hinted to Life & Style that "one of the main things they butt heads over is where to live." In 2015, Chris and Elsa moved from California to his native Australia, "but Elsa gets tired of being there," the insider added, "mostly because she'd have more career options if they were in LA." They reiterated that "Chris would never live in LA again, though."
