Fans on Twitter are currently having a field day trying to pinpoint who Chris Pine looks like in his latest film role! The Star Trek star, 41, was spotted last week on the streets of Los Angeles while filming his upcoming project, Poolman. Many online are dubbing the Wonder Woman actor to be ‘unrecognizable‘ or now someone causing ‘double takes’ with his new hairdo— long, graying shoulder-length tresses, an unruly beard and a cozy outfit.
To complete his on-set ensemble, Pine wore a shiny gold robe (that was left open, revealing his bare chest), high-waisted tan slacks and white shoes. While shooting a scene for the new film, Pine was seen wearing a shimmering gold helmet (safety first!) as he rode on a Vespa. The mystery-comedy will be Pine’s directorial debut, and he is also producing the flick as well.

As some fans tweeted that Pine looks “exactly like Jeff Bridges in The Big Lebowski” in these pics, others pulled up shots of the actor in other outfits, including a paparazzi-snapped pic of him recently wearing a striped shirt and sun hat. “Chris Pine having a Diane Keaton summer,” one user hilariously wrote.
According to Deadline, Pine will play Darren Barrenman in Poolman, a character described as a “hapless dreamer and would-be philosopher who spends his days looking after the pool of the Tahitian Tiki apartment block in sunny Los Angeles.”

Chris Pine will make his directorial debut, ‘POOLMAN’, which he will star in alongside Annette Being and Danny DeVito. Patty Jenkins will produce.
The film follows a pool caretaker who uncovers the greatest water heist in LA history.

The publication also reported that we know this about the plot, too; “When Barrenman uncovers the greatest water heist in LA history since Chinatown he makes uneasy alliances with a beautiful and connected femme fatale while following every lead he can with corrupt city officials, burned out Hollywood types, and mysterious benefactors – all in the name of protecting his precious Los Angeles.” Poolman will also star the iconic Danny DeVito and Annette Bening, so we obviously can’t wait to see it!
