Christina Aguilera has candidly addressed her body image concerns following accusations from fans that she used Ozempic for weight loss, with some claiming she now looks “unrecognizable.” In a recent interview with Glamour for their August cover story, the Grammy-winning artist, 43, reflected on the perpetual scrutiny she faced about her appearance throughout her career.
Aguilera revealed that she has finally arrived at a stage in her life where she no longer lets such judgments affect her. “I have a maturity now where I just don’t give a f—k about your opinion. I’m not going to take it on,” she dished to the outlet. The Burlesque alum went on: “It must be your responsibility to take up your space. Other people’s opinions of me are not my business.”

Christina Aguilera Addresses Fan Criticism Amid Ozempic Rumors And ‘Unrecognizable’ Transformation Claims
The “Genie in a Bottle” singer recounted how, in her youth, the media’s constant focus on her weight caused her self-esteem to hinge on “how thin I was.”
She went on: “When you’re a teenager, you have a very different body than when you’re in your 20s. I started to fill out, and then that was unacceptable because it was like, ‘Oh, she’s getting thicker.’ Then I had industry people: ‘They liked your body and how you were as a skinny teenager.’”

Aguilera revealed that becoming a mother significantly changed her perspective on body image criticism, as the “Beautiful” crooner was determined to shield her children from undergoing the same experiences she had.
She is a mother to two children: Summer Rain, 9, whom she shares with her fiancé Matt Rutler, and Max Liron, 16, from her previous marriage to Jordan Bratman.
“Your kids trigger things in you that you don’t want them to go through,” Aguilera continued “And it’s almost like you’re reliving this whole thing again.” She added: “I’ve seen so much so young. You just want the best for your kids.”
Aguilera's open remarks arrive three months after TikTok users speculated that she might have used Ozempic, a diabetes medication that has gained popularity among celebrities aiming for weight loss. To date, Aguilera has yet to confirm or deny if she resorted to this drug.
According to an insider who recently spoke with Life & Style, Aguilera was able to shed 40 pounds by implementing a blend of limiting calorie intake and engaging in physical activity.
The source also said that Aguilera is limiting herself to a daily intake of just 1,600 calories and engaging in "rigorous" workouts every single day of the week.
"Christina didn’t feel as energetic with extra weight," the tipster told the outlet, adding: "Some are concerned she’ll gain the weight back but she loves all the attention she’s getting."
