Christina Aguilera Postpones LV Residency Shows Due To Illness
As the new year rolled in, the ‘Reflection’ artist faced a setback, having to reschedule two of her Las Vegas shows just days into her residency.
The ‘Candyman’ singer took to her Instagram Story to share the unfortunate news, disclosing that she had caught the flu right after the opening weekend at the Voltaire Belle de Nuit venue within the Venetian Resort.
“AFTER WELCOMING YOU ALL TO THE NEW YEAR FROM THE STAGE IN LAS VEGAS. I’VE BEEN WELCOMED WITH A NEW YEAR FLU!!! I AM SORRY TO SHARE THAT MY TWO SHOWS THIS WEEKEND WILL BE RESCHEDULED WHILE I REST – AND I CANNOT WAIT TO BE BACK ON THAT STAGE IN A FEW WEEKS. I’M INCREDIBLY PROUD OF THIS SHOW AND GRATEFUL FOR ALL THE SUPPORT AND LOVE AFTER OPENING WEEKEND! SEE YOU SOON.”
Despite kicking off her Las Vegas residency with a stellar pair of shows on December 30 and 31, the pop star had to temporarily hit pause due to the unexpected flu, but she will be back with more performances and of course, jaw-dropping outfits!
