Over the years, we’ve seen Christina Aguilera rock a variety of epic hairstyles, from early aughts zig-zag parts to bleach blonde highlights to pitch-black tresses. Now, the Grammy winner and style icon just debuted longer locks in a new Instagram post, and fans can’t get enough of her waist-length, wavy look.
On May 11th, the 42-year-old “Beautiful” singer uploaded a photo collection post for her 8.9 million followers with snaps showing her modeling new hair in glamor shots and other fun behind-the-scenes pics with friends after her set at the Lovers & Friends festival in Las Vegas. In the first two slides, Xtina donned a black puffer coat and put her long tresses on full display. She wore them down, parted in the center and styled into elegant loose waves.
As for her makeup look, the “Genie In a Bottle” hitmaker went for a dramatic smokey cat-eye with thick black liner, sky-high lashes, sparkly eyeshadow and a smudged wing. She also added a touch of rosy blush and highlighter to her cheekbones and topped it all off with a 90s-esque mauve matte lipstick.
Fans instantly headed to her comment section to share their thoughts, and many commended her endless locks. “Hair Is WOW!” one wrote as another added that her “extensions looked incredible.” Someone else pointed out that Aguilera looked “stunning with longer hair.”
The star-studded music festival, which took place on May 6th, also featured performers like Missy Elliott, Mariah Carey, Usher, Boyz II Men and Sean Paul. For her set, Aguilera wore a sultry, low-cut and skintight black bodysuit that emphasized her ample curves and tiny waist.
She added shiny statement silver jewelry to accessorize, and fans who attended the performance were quick to applaud the Burlesque alum’s stage presence. “YOU KILLED IT!” one wrote with a fire emoji as another added that she was “absolute fire” and “burned the house down” with her signature powerhouse vocals, choreography, unforgettable all-black get-up and gorg new hair.
