Danone U.S. has announced a recall of over 10,000 bottles of International Delight coffee creamer due to mislabeling and “misbranding,” as reported by AllRecipes. Make sure to inspect your refrigerator and continue reading for further details. The recall specifically affects the International Delight “Home Alone” Peppermint Mocha Zero Sugar coffee creamer because it was incorrectly labeled as “zero sugar,“ even though it actually contains sugar.

On October 12th, a recall was issued for the coffee creamer that had been incorrectly labeled, affecting all stores across Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Mississippi, New Mexico, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin. International Delight’s festive “Home Alone” holiday creamers have graced store shelves since July.

If you happened to buy the Zero Sugar version from a retailer in one of the 13 affected states at any point over the last three months, it's crucial to inspect the best-by date on the label.

This recall specifically targets the Peppermint Mocha Zero Sugar creamer. Rest assured, the other delightful "Home Alone" flavors, such as the classic Peppermint Mocha, the cozy Hot Chocolate Marshmallow, and the sweet Frosted Sugar Cookie, are not included in this recall and remain perfectly safe.

On October 28th, an important announcement was made on the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) website concerning the recall of the popular coffee creamer. The Home Alone International Delight Peppermint Mocha Zero Sugar is packaged in 32-ounce plastic bottles.

A total of 1,799 cases are affected, with each case containing six bottles of the creamer. According to the recall notice, these bottles were sold in refrigerated conditions to ensure their freshness and quality.

The FDA has designated the recall as Class II. This classification indicates that while the likelihood of the product causing serious injuries or fatalities is relatively low, there remains a potential risk for negative health effects.

Although the chances of severe harm are minimal, consumers should still be cautious due to the possibility of adverse health consequences.

If you're in possession of the coffee creamer that has been recalled, you have the option to return it to the store where you bought it and receive a full refund. The FDA has not documented any illnesses resulting from the use of this recalled coffee creamer.

However, if you need to monitor your sugar intake due to medical reasons, consuming this creamer might not be safe for you!
