For many of us, concealer is the one makeup product that we won’t leave the house not wearing. When applied correctly, concealer can make a huge difference in your look. It brightens the dark areas under the eye and has the power to vanish little imperfections here and there. But there’s one nightmare scenario that can keep us from grabbing that concealer in the morning: seeing fine lines under the eyes accentuated by makeup by midday.
Beauty Expert Smitha Deepak has a smart solution on how to use concealer to cover and “disguise” those “deep fine lines.” It works beautifully without creasing.
Before you begin, don’t forget to add a light layer of a good primer beneath the eyes to smoothen out your skin and give an air-brushed finish, while providing a barrier to lock in moisture so that your makeup lasts longer.

Don’t Apply Foundation Under Your Eyes
If you wear foundation or CC cream, make sure you skip the area under your eyes. The reason for this is that you don’t want to layer too much makeup under your eyes — it can be difficult to keep it from creasing.

Use Concealer Strategically
Deepak applies a few small dots of concealer to areas around her mouth and the inner corners of her eyes. She makes sure to say that she won’t be applying concealer directly on top of those small fine lines beneath the eye. She uses a dry makeup sponge to pat the concealer into the skin so that it blends in well. She then uses a light translucent powder to set her makeup and says you can also use a setting spray if you prefer a more dewy look.
By avoiding placing concealer directly over fine lines right beneath the eye, you can also avoid the creasing that typically comes with makeup application in this area. Your makeup can look fresher for longer.
