When you shop at Costco, it’s highly likely that you will end up buying more things than expected. The big-box store company has almost everything from groceries to household appliances, and even clothing. As a matter of fact, the best part is they usually sell these items in bulk and come at affordable prices too.

Just recently, Costco announced a few changes that they’re making to their stores this month. From new locations to price increases, keep reading to find out what you should expect on your next shopping trip.

New Bakery Items

With Christmas right around the corner, Costco has a ton of holiday-themed bakery items that are perfect for a holiday party or just to enjoy at home on the couch. Their Mini Gingerbread Cakes are the cutest gingerbread-flavored cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting topped with a smiling chocolate gingerbread man. And they’re only $8.99 for six mini cakes.

Costco also brought back their Black Forest Bar Cake with Maraschino Cherries, and while this one is $17.99, it’s totally worth the price. It has layers of chocolate cake, whipped cream, and cherry filling, plus topped with more cherries and some chocolate shavings.

Price Increase

In a September earnings call, the Costco’s CFO announced that there would be an increase in the price of membership. “It’s a question of when, not if,” Richard Galanti said. Though he did not specify when this price increase would be happening, he is certain it will be happening, so members should be on the lookout.

New Locations

According to the Costco website, four new locations are opening up in January 2024. The lucky communities welcoming the retail giant include:
