Costco doesn’t have over 100 million loyal members for no reason. This warehouse store is well-known for the fact that they offer high-quality products at low prices—and there are so many great options on the shelves, it can sometimes be difficult to decide which ones are the absolute best. That’s why it’s worthwhile to pay attention to what fellow shoppers are saying across the internet.

If you’re heading to Costco to stock up on essentials, it helps to know which items are the best ones to add to your cart. Below, we’ve rounded up a few of the store’s products that have the best reviews, the highest praise, and the lowest prices, from salmon to sheet cake.

1. Salmon

Salmon is one of the healthiest proteins to incorporate into your diet—plus, it's delicious. Unfortunately, it's not typically the cheapest meat around. But Costco offers fillets of salmon at a reasonable price, and customers eat this stuff up (literally!). The Northwest Fish Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon, which is available for $18 per pound, has over 287 5-star reviews. Not bad!

2. Maple Syrup

Maple syrup makes for a delicious natural sweetener. Whether you're topping pancakes with it or mixing it into oatmeal, you can't go wrong with Grade A syrup like the kind available at Costco, where you can find 33oz bottles of the sweet stuff for just $15. That's a steal!

As one review notes, Costco's variety is "one of the cheapest, higher quality maple syrups you can find," and it's also "quite delicious."

3. Rotisserie Chicken

If you're a frequent Costco shopper, this one's probably a no-brainer for you. Everyone goes crazy for those iconic rotisserie chickens! The fact that an entire chicken costs just $5 sounds almost too good to be true. But as it turns out, Costco delivers on quality, too.

As one post on X, the website formerly known as Twitter, states: "The $5 huge rotisserie chicken alone is worth having a Costco membership."

4. Alcohol

Alcohol can get expensive. If you frequently entertain or just like to keep your at-home bar stocked, getting some big bottles at Costco to save money is always a good idea. And while cheap alcohol may have a reputation for tasting bad, this is far form the truth when it comes to Kirkland Signature varieties.

In fact, many people believe that Kirkland label vodka is the same vodka sold by Grey Goose. At just $20 per bottle, that's an amazing price for great quality. CostcoCuisine gave their Kirkland Signature French Vodka a 10/10, and the American Vodka a 7/10. Not too shabby!

6. Sheet Cake

Costco certainly knows how to make a great (colossal) dessert. Their sheet cakes are no exception. And luckily, although this decadent treat was briefly discontinued back in 2020, it's back due to numerous customer complaints—and even petitions.

Everyone is happy that they're back, and fans across the internet are singing the praises of this beloved bakery item. On Reddit, one fan made an entire post to call them "f---ing delicious," with others jumping in to say "those are amazing" and "so good."

7. Tires

Whether you need new tires or just need your current tires rotated, balanced, or inflated, you should definitely head to Costco. The warehouse offers great prices on each of these services.

As one member explained on Reddit, "If you’re a Costco member it’s the best place to buy tires. Best prices. You can make an appointment for install once your tires arrive at the warehouse. All prices include a road hazard warranty. Any other tire place won’t include it, you’ll pay more for it." Noted!

8. Hot Dog Combo

This is perhaps the most beloved item at Costco, and it only costs $1.50. For a dollar and a half, you can get a glorious Costco hot dog and a large soda. The best part? The company has insisted that they will not be raising the price any time soon.

One Reddit user said it best: "The Costco hotdog is the most delicious and well priced thing on Earth. Humanity peaked when it was released to the public and nothing will ever top it."

9. Muffins

There's nothing like a delicious muffin for breakfast (even if it does come with some health risks). And when it comes to the best places to stock up, it doesn't get much better than Costco. Not only are the muffins from Costco's bakery ultra-tasty and huge, but they also come at unbeatable prices. You can usually pick up two packs of six for just $9.

They also freeze beautifully, as many shoppers have noted. "They freeze really well and are almost exactly the same as fresh when they thaw," one Reddit user wrote under a post that praised the bakery item as "so delicious." Perfect!

10. Honey

In addition to maple syrup, honey is another great natural sweetener that's a staple in many households. So why not buy it in bulk at Costco? Not only does the warehouse offer large 24oz bottles of the stuff for just $17.99, but it's also great quality.

One Reddit post puts it succinctly: "If you're not buying your honey at Costco, you're crazy." 'Nough said.
