The big box store announced via their website that they were changing their store policies, effective immediately until an unspecified end date, to reflect the shortages.
New product limitations are meant to help ensure that more members are able to purchase merchandise that they want and need, like toilet paper, cleaners and now meat, says the company.
What's the new policy? All beef, pork and poultry purchases are temporarily limited to a total of 3 items per member.

President Donald Trump has since ordered meat plants to stay open, and has even vowed to help food chains like Wendy's keep hamburger on the menu, but stores like Costco, Wegmanm ShopRite and Whole Foods are taking the threat of shortages seriously by instigating these policies.
