When it comes to frozen foods, Costco is a go-to destination for many shoppers. The wholesale giant offers an extensive selection of frozen treats that are both delicious and budget-friendly. But there is one frozen item that has caught the attention of Redditors, and it’s quickly becoming a fan favorite.

Costco Frozen Food Favorite: La Boulangerie’s ‘Smoked Ham & Cheese’ Pocket Croissants

In a Costco-themed Reddit discussion last month, one user (@Justadropinthesea) uploaded a photo of the ham and cheese croissant frozen product and wrote, “ham and cheese croissants 10/10.” The Costco fan wrote in their caption, “These are soooo good, so tasty and buttery. Be sure to totally preheat your oven to 400 before popping them in and you will have a yummy breakfast, lunch or dinner in about 15 minutes.”

The creator continued, adding, “there’s not a lot of either ham or cheese so not too filling- I suggest you make two. Each croissant is somewhere about $1.25 so totally affordable and delicious meal.”

Each box of the La Boulangerie frozen snacks includes eight individually-wrapped croissant pockets with ham and cheese inside. According to the brand, this means, “smoked ham and Swiss cheese wrapped in flaky croissants.” In addition, as some fans and commenters under the post pointed out, each serving features 12 grams of protein.

@kmknoche I am easily #influenced and bought these smoked Ham & Swiss cheese pockets from @costco. They taste pretty similar to the Starbucks Ham & Swiss Croissants. #dupe #food #costco #croissant #lunch #snack #airfryer #yum #food #foodie #freezer #easyrecipe #okc #fyp #foryoupage #breakfast #hamandswiss ♬ Sunny Day – Ted Fresco

“These are awesome,” one commenter noted as another agreed, “Confirmed. These are excellent.” Many began sharing their favorite ways to prepare these croissants, with an air frying method coming up as the most popular among the Costco enthusiasts.

“I love these, I used to get these as a quick breakfast snack. Best in the air fryer,” someone commented as another user wrote, “These are so good in the air fryer.” One other concurred, suggesting to “defrost in the fridge overnight” as the treats would then “heat up more evenly in the air fryer when thawed.” Several TikTokers also joined in to hype up the food, with videos of the treats being shared in the past few weeks.

According to the Costco site, these frozen croissants also don’t contain any added “nitrates or nitrites.” Apart from these frozen snacks, recently, Costco fans on Reddit have commended the wholesale retailer’s new bakery items like its Four Berry Pie and candies such as the Kirkland dark chocolate-covered mangoes offered in stores. We’ve got a lot of new products on our wish list to try from Costco this spring!
