Courteney Cox has just admitted that she may have gone a little too far with her cosmetic procedures over the years, and said that she actually regrets a lot of the previous work she had done to her face! Wow! The 57-year-old former Friends actress really opened up about some of her past cosmetic procedures in a rare and candid interview that was published in the UK’s Sunday Times on February 20th; and what she had to say was pretty refreshing – albeit slightly heartbreaking – to hear!
“There was a time when you go, ‘Oh, I’m changing. I’m looking older.’ And I tried to chase that youthfulness for years,” Cox reflected in the interview, referencing how she initially opted for cosmetic procedures in order to maintain a youthful appearance for as long as possible – something which most actresses in the industry are guilty of – but she now regrets because of how “strange” they made her look.

“And I didn’t realize that, oh [expletive], I’m actually looking really strange with injections and doing stuff to my face that I would never do now,” the Cougar Town actress continued, before going into detail about the constant hearsay surrounding her appearance following the fillers and other procedures. “People would talk about me, I think,” she continued, adding, “there was a period where I went, ‘I’ve got to stop. That’s just crazy.'”
We love Cox’s honesty; but this isn’t the first time she has opened up about the work she has had done! “The next thing you know, you’re layered and layered and layered,” the Shining Vale actress said in an equally candid interview with NewBeauty back in 2017. “You have no idea because it’s gradual until you go, ‘Oh [expletive], this doesn’t look right.’ And it’s worse in pictures than in real life. I have one friend who was like, ‘Whoa, no more!’ I thought, I haven’t done anything in six months. I didn’t realize.” The Dirt actress also made no secret of the fact that she is rocking a more natural look these days, after choosing to have her fillers dissolved, telling the mag: “I’ve had all my fillers dissolved. I’m as natural as I can be. I feel better because I look like myself. I think that I now look more like the person that I was. I hope I do.”
