CVS Just Dropped Something Major About It’s Stores

The company confirmed to USA Today that it closed stores last week, mainly in the cities with large protests, including Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., San Francisco and Los Angeles.

"More than 250 of our CVS Pharmacy locations across 21 states have experienced varying levels of damage over the past several days," Amy Thibault, senior manager of corporate communications for CVS Health, told the paper.

The pharmacy chain confirmed that 12 or so stores sustained damage during the protests but that no employees were hurt. Additionally, Thibault asserted that stores will reopen once repairs are complete and conditions are safe.

"Each closed pharmacy’s phone system has been rerouted to a nearby CVS Pharmacy that is open so all patients will continue to have access to pharmacy care," the spokesperson said. "We are continually monitoring protests as they occur in the communities we serve and will close stores, if needed, to help ensure the safety of employees and customers."
