In their press release, the company explains that they will now be offering free prescription delivery: "Beginning immediately, CVS Pharmacy will waive charges for home delivery of prescription medications, which will help patients avoid visiting their local CVS Pharmacy for refills or new prescriptions."
With your prescription, customers can also add everyday essentials to their delivery, limiting customer's needs to go to the store in-person.
The MinuteClinic is also helping people keep up with their social distancing by offering video visits.
The statement explains, "MinuteClinic offers patients the opportunity to request a Video Visit in 40 states and Washington, D.C. Virtual care options such as video visits can be an effective way to evaluate and treat viruses from the comfort of one’s home, while minimizing exposure to other potentially contagious viruses."
CVS is also helping people refill their prescriptions sooner, increasing patients' access to mediation.
Their statement explains: "CVS Caremark recently worked with clients to make it easier for members to refill most 30-day prescription maintenance medications earlier than usual — by waiving commonly used early refill limits, which require members to use most of the medication on hand before obtaining a refill."
With these new measures in place, CVS is making it easier than ever to stay home and stay healthy while maintaining access to their medications, everyday essentials, and expertise.
