Dakota Johnson is back on our screens to promote her new movie, Daddio, in which she stars alongside Sean Penn. But this time, her fashion game hit a few bumps compared to her flawless looks at the Madame Web premiere.

For her interview, the 50 Shades of Grey star donned a black evening dress with eye-catching gold metal straps and floral charms on the shoulder hooks. She completed the ensemble with black pumps, gold hoop earrings, rings, and a delicate bracelet.

Her hair was styled in a chic updo with bangs framing her face, and she rocked a subtle smokey eye and a brown lip for a touch of glam.

After host Jimmy Kimmel played a clip from the film, Johnson was spotted struggling with the strap of her dress.

“Part of your dress just came unhooked. You all right?” the talk show host asked the actress. “My dress just — it just fell off,” Johnson answered as she laughed off the awkward situation.

As she tried to keep up her dress, Kimmel said she simply needed to “hold the important part,” prompting the actress to place both hands over her chest to keep the top of her dress in place.

Dakota Johnson Talks About Producing Daddio

Daddio is about a woman who hops into a taxi at New York airport and slowly opens up to the driver about the unfortunate choices that led her to an affair with a married man. As the ride continues, the driver shares more and more about his own life as well.

Johnson, who is engaged to Coldplay star Chris Martin, told IndieWire, “This is, it’s just such a gem of a project. It was unlike anything I had ever read. It’s obviously not a normal movie. Of course, there are films that it is inspired by. There’s that amazing movie ‘Locke’ that takes place inside of a car, and ‘My Dinner with Andre,’ movies that are reminiscent of a very contained experience of performance.”

She added, “Production-wise, it was challenging, and so that was inspiring and enticing, and it just did stuff to my heart that I was like, ‘I have to make this movie.'”
