Battery saver apps can seem like they’re doing wonders for your Android battery, but the opposite can be true: these apps claim to save battery by shutting down background processes and adjusting settings like background sync and push notifications. But, often, these apps disrupt your phone’s power management system, consume a lot of resources, and can damage your phone battery. You may be better off sticking with your phone’s battery-optimizing settings, like enabling Dark Mode and adjusting screen timeout.
3. Advanced Task Killer
Advanced Task Killer is a third-party tool that is designed to close running apps and processes in an attempt to improve device performance and extend battery life. One of the potential problems with this tool is that it forces apps to close, and when Android is forced to close apps, the system has to reopen them later, which takes up more resources like CPU and memory. This, of course, drains your battery even more.
