David and Victoria Beckham aren’t just famous themselves, they’ve created a famous family. Three of their four children are pretty much household names, Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz, and it seems as if their fourth child, Harper, will be following in their footsteps. David has reportedly picked up on this, and is worried his 13-year-old daughter might prematurely “morph” into her mother. Keep reading for more information.
David Is Worried Harper Will 'Morph' Intro Victoria
From sporting expensive looks to experimenting with makeup, Harper Beckham is not far from the path that Victoria Beckham started on, and Davis is a bit weary. "David is concerned that Vic is trying to morph Harper into her," an insider told Closer Online UK. "He is worried about their teenage daughter not only being thrust further into the spotlight but also feels she has to grow up too fast because of her famous family.
Both parents have recognized their their older children have seen the highs and lows of being a recognizable face, just as their parents learned when they were younger and the media's it couple. "Vic and David have seen how affected the boys have been by criticism and backlash growing up," the source continued. "They’re even more protective of Harper, given girls are typically far more impressionable at this age.”
Victoria Is Just As Protective
However, Victoria is just as concerned for Harper as David is, the source added. "Vic has also assured David that she is just as conscious as he is about protecting their daughter. She has vowed not to go overboard and keep a healthy balance to ensure Harper doesn’t grow up too fast."
This isn't a new thing to be mindful of for the Beckhams, in fact, back in December of 2023, Victoria Beckham talked about her mission to teacher Harper the significance of self-love and acceptance in her cover story for Allure. In the story, she reminisced about a moment when Harper revealed one of her insecurities. "[Yesterday Harper said,] 'I’ve got a gap in my teeth, Mummy. And I’ve got that little mole right here," the former Spice Girl told the outlet. "I'm like, 'That’s your lucky gap.'"
The style icon added: "And Cindy Crawford is a family friend, so I said, 'Cindy was told to remove her mole, and that mole is what makes Cindy, Cindy Crawford.'" Hopefully, with two parents who know both the good side and the bad side of fame, Harper will successfully navigate her entré into the world of the rich and famous.
