Demi Lovato is speaking out after tweets from her fiance, Max Ehrich, made it clear he used to have his eyes on a different Disney star.
A series of Ehrich’s tweets were uncovered, confessing his crush on Selena Gomez. Yes, that’s the same Selena who is Demi’s ex-best friend. Check out the screenshots here.

Demi has since come to the defense of her fiance, claiming that the screenshots are fake. There’s really no way to know for sure considering Ehrich has since deleted his Twitter account.

Lovato responded to the rumors over her Instagram stories, sending a clear message to all of her fans (and critics).
She wrote, "It’s really sad when people FAKE images to put women against each other. If women have conflict that’s between them NOT YOU."
Demi continued, "But then I stop and think... it’s hella rude but damn.. I get it."
The "Sorry Not Sorry" singer continued, "And I don’t wanna look at what’s really happening in the world either but WE HAVE TO. Yes, it’s easier to tear apart celebrities and their relationships because 2020 sucks and scares the s—t out of us all but it’s only gonna stay terrifying until we address it all and WORK ON SOLUTIONS TOGETHER."
"So while on one hand I understand and have compassion for those who are so horrified at the reality of 2020 that they gotta distract themselves with doctored images in order to not focus on how bad these times are, but on the other hand, if you aren’t 13 years old trying to grasp the reality of right now, put on your adult underpants and write about what actually matters. Please," Lovato wrote.
Despite Demi insisting that the images are "doctored," a previous Instagram live from Demi's fiance also recently resurfaced--and it's a lot harder to dismiss.

Ehrich himself has not yet responded to the rumors around his crush on Selena.
However, fans are not convinced that Ehrich has the best intentions. Many Demi fans have encouraged the singer to leave her fiance behind, accusing him of being a "clout chaser." One wrote, "You can literally see here he’s said the exact same thing as he did to every other celebrity and Demi was the only one to let him in her life. Max is using Demi to boot his career and it’s worked. I really do feel sick."
Plus, Selena isn't the only celeb Ehrich has professed his affection for; screenshots reveal that he said similar things about Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, Madison Beer, and Bella Hadid.
