Demi Lovato Releases A Rock Version Of ‘Sorry Not Sorry’—And It’s Better Than The Original!

Demi Lovato recently unveiled an electrifying remake of their 2017 pop single, “Sorry Not Sorry,” featuring Guns N’ Roses icon Slash on guitar.

This marks the latest in a series of guitar-heavy, rock versions of Lovato’s past singles, with a rockified “Heart Attack” and “Cool for the Summer” being shared this March and May respectively.

To coincide with these reimagined releases, the Grammy nominee also announced their upcoming album, REVAMPED, due out on September 15, 2023. This record will feature hard-hitting versions of Lovato’s most popular songs.

As for the newest iteration of “Sorry Not Sorry,” fan reactions have been very positive, with some on Twitter saying it’s even “better than the original!”

The new “Sorry Not Sorry” boasts vicious guitar riffs, a throbbing beat from the drums, and Lovato’s trademark blazing vocals. On Instagram, Lovato shared a visual for it in a July 14th post for their 156 million followers.

Naturally, fans couldn’t get enough, and headed to the comment section to hype up the new version. “I’m loving this new era of Demi Lovato turning thier old songs into a rock version,” one wrote. Another added: “ok this is really good.” Someone else agreed, and commented: “IS THAT F—G CRAZY GOOD???? LETS GO MY FAV ROCKSTAR.”

In a follow-up post, Lovato announced an entire upcoming album full of rock updates to their previous hits, and fans were just as excited with this news. On July 14th, Lovato wrote: “Breathing new life into the songs that played such a huge role in my career has allowed me to feel so much closer to my music than ever before. I can’t wait for you to hear REVAMPED on 9/15.”

One devotee commented: “Demi going back to their rock roots is mind blowing. Demi is a complete artist who is insanely talented. We are going to have a lot of fun with this one. Thanks YOU SAVED ME.” Another concurred: “I was hoping for an album omg i’m so excited ! every re recorded song so far has sounded incredible in rock version.”
