Demi Moore Recalls Feeling Pressured To Lose Weight After Giving Birth To Second Daughter Scout
While the Substance actress didn't go into specific details about what she does in the present day to maintain her toned physique (we would give *anything* to know!) she did reflect on some of the things she did to lose weight while working on Indecent Proposal just a few months after welcoming Scout. And she doesn't have very fond memories of them!
The Ghost alum recalled feeling a lot of pressure to slim down immediately after giving birth, and said: "I put so much pressure on myself. And I did have experiences of being told to lose weight and all of those, while they may have been embarrassing and humiliating, it's what I did to myself because of that."
The Landman actress detailed her daily and nightly routine while she was working on Indecent Proposal shortly after her daughter was born, and said: "I think she was, like, 5 or 6 months old when we were shooting."
"I was feeding her through the night, getting up in the dark with a trainer with a headlamp, biking all the way to Paramount, even on location where we were shooting, then shooting a full day, which is usually a 12-hour day, and then starting all over again," Moore continued.
"Even just the idea of what I did to my body, it's, like, so crazy, so ridiculous," she continued. "But you look back and you kind of go, 'Did it really matter that much?' Probably not, but at the time I made it mean everything."
Does this hindsight mean that she now doesn't put as much pressure on herself? Possibly! The actress – who shares daughters Rumer, Scout and Tallulah with ex-husband Bruce Willis – went on to talk about her current body image. She said that she doesn't obsess as much about her appearance these days, and tries to stop herself from focusing on certain things she isn't happy with.
"Some days I look and I'm like, 'Wow that's pretty good,' and some days I catch myself dissecting, hyperfocusing on things that I don't like," she confessed. "The difference is now, I can catch myself. I can go, 'Yep, I don't like that loose skin.' But you know, it is what it is. So, I'm going to make the best of what is as opposed to chasing what isn't."
