At the start of the month, the actress posted a photo of herself carrying her faithful dog on the set of a television show sporting a stylish long bob, or “lob.” The sudden hairstyle switch shocked her fanbase, but most were pleasantly surprised and shared their excitement in the comments. The 62-year-old had a hectic year, after she received an enormous amount of praise and award nominations for her leading role in the eccentric film, The Substance. She attended prestigious ceremonies like the 2025 Oscars and won major awards like the Golden Globe for Best Actress.

During her eventful award season, she maintained her signature long black hair that extended all the way down to her waist. It’s a look she had for a considerable period, as she hadn’t cut her hair short for a film or television project since some of her notable 90s films like Ghost and G.I. Jane.

However, in a new Instagram post, she revealed to her fanbase that it was time to make a change to her signature style in honor of a new series. On Wednesday, April 2nd, Demi posted a photo and video to Instagram, announcing that she was in the process of filming the second season of Landman, a drama series streaming on Paramount Plus.

In the post, she can be seen carrying and walking around with her famous tiny chihuahua, Pilaf, which doesn’t come as a big surprise to longtime fans of the actress, who takes her little companion everywhere. But what was surprising was her new haircut, a stylish “lob” that ends right above her shoulder. It’s a very different haircut than she usually has, but her followers loved it.
