In her video, Kylie takes us step by step through the process of creating Chinese silken eggs, emphasizing its simplicity and delicious outcome. “First crack two eggs into a bowl,” she instructs. “Mix in ¾ cups of water and a pinch of salt.” It’s this uncomplicated yet flavorful combination that sets the foundation for a tasty breakfast.
Next up, she says, you should “strain into a bowl and cover with saran wrap and steam for 12 minutes.” She offers flexibility in the cooking method, stating, “I brought water to a boil in my wok, placed my bowl on a steamer rack and covered it but you can steam this however you want.”
And when it comes to enhancing the flavors, Kylie recommends topping the steamed eggs with a delectable trio. “Now top with soy sauce, sesame oil, and green onions,” she says. The optional step of cutting through the egg to let the sauce seep through adds an extra layer of culinary finesse.
In her caption, Kylie encourages those seeking a protein-packed morning alternative to try these Chinese silken eggs, describing them as “easy to prepare, melt in your mouth, and the quickest savory breakfasts!”
