When most of us think of Christian Dior, the first word that comes to mind is “luxury,” with words like “exclusive” and “prohibitively expensive” not far behind. But the brand’s new Dior Backstage Makeup Collection provides an opportunity for beauty lovers to score high-quality, gorgeous, easy-to-wear face and body makeup, including one product Meghan Markle reportedly wore on her wedding day, at a reasonable price.
This new Dior line is more affordable than Dior Makeup and–some might even say a little more hip–which is to be expected when models like Bella Hadid and Chu Wong represent the brand (Bella even had a hand in helping to create one of the products).
“They’re meant to be easy-to-wear products that are no-brainers to use,” makeup artist and Dior Makeup creative director, Peter Philips, told Allure. “I want to offer products for which you don’t need a masterclass to use—this is more of a basic beautifying range.”
Mission accomplished. Even Dior Backstage’s translucent packaging is a testament to its accessibility. “All of the packaging is clear so you can see exactly what you’re grabbing,” Philips said.
Here are all of the details about Dior Backstage Makeup Collection, including which exciting products you’ll be able to shop for now and which one product we’re all (impatiently) waiting to buy.

In a nutshell, there are so many goodies in this collection it’s difficult to know where to start.
You can shop the collection now on Dior.com and a full launch will take place at Sephora and sephora.com on June 15.
The entire collection has yet to be revealed (more details on that to come), so let’s start with the products you can score right here, right now.
One of the most exciting is a quad contour and highlight palette that was developed with the help of Bella Hadid (AKA the queen of sculpted cheekbones). The palette includes two buildable matte and two iridescent shades that can be used together to define or even create cheekbones and a strong jawline by providing depth and light. The palette costs $45 and may or may not go out of stock at any given moment. This product is already enjoying cult status, just a few weeks after its initial launch.
Dior Backstage Glow Face Palette (also $45) is another complexion enhancer designed in a compact: it includes four iridescent and buildable blushes and highlighters, all of which are meant to be universally flattering on all skin tones.
And, speaking of palettes, an incredible eye shadow palette is key to any collection — and Dior Backstage Eye Palettes ($49) are no exception to that rule. Dior keeps things super simple here: you can choose from two palettes in cool or warm tone neutrals. Each palette comes with a built-in primer — which is beyond convenient— as well as eight shadows that are all sumptuous and highly pigmented.

Get ready to try two very different lip products from Dior Backstage.
The first is a lip palette that costs $49 and consists of nine neutral nude, pink-nude, and borderline coral (but never too bright) hues. What’s truly great about this palette is that it provides three different finishes. One row offers lip gloss, another row provides satin lipstick, and the third row consists of highly pigmented matte lipstick.
If lip palettes aren’t your thing and you prefer a subtle wash of color on your lips, try Dior Lip Glow ($34), a series of 10 lip balms that range from sheer ballet pink to matte raspberry.

Dior Makeup's Cult Classic Foundation
One of Dior Makeup’s bestselling products is Dior Backstage Airflash, a spray foundation that gives you gorgeous, flawless skin with an airy, light finish that makes you look like you’re not wearing any makeup at all. Unfortunately, this cult classic costs $62 (worth every penny, according to fans). But here’s the good news: one of Dior Backstage’s most highly anticipated products rivals Airflash in quality. Meghan Markle even wore it on her wedding day!
Dior Beauty’s Backstage Face & Body Foundation
Arguably the most exciting product in the Dior Backstage launch — and one that won’t be available until June 15. Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation comes in an astonishing 40 shades with undertones like cool rosy, peach, and warm peach, according to Allure. This foundation has a waterproof formula that has reportedly been tested in super hot weather, as well as on Meghan Markle's globally televised wedding day. If you recall, Meghan was all about letting her freckles peek through, which proves this formula is buildable and can be applied to look sheer and pretty or to give full coverage.
