These Display Settings Are Draining Your iPhone Battery, Tech Experts Warn–Change Them Immediately!

There’s lots of talk about certain iPhone apps that are doing a number on your battery and sucking up storage space — like Facebook, TikTok, Google Maps, and loads of others. But there isn’t as much chatter about your display settings. Your display settings are those settings that enhance your user experience. These settings are, mostly, your allies. They make your screen brighter or decide how long your home screen will stay active before turning off. The problem is: unless you’re monitoring these settings and adjusting them as needed, they can be a real drain on your phone’s battery. Ivan Lovre, the founder of Gameboyworld.com, says these four display settings are draining your iPhone battery. Change them ASAP to boost your battery power.
Screen brightnessThe brighter your screen, the more battery power it will use, plain and simple. “Try to keep your screen brightness as low as possible without making it difficult to see,” Lovre says. And this leads us to the next display setting that should be on your radar:
Auto-brightness“This setting automatically adjusts your screen brightness based on the ambient light,” Lovre says. “While this can be convenient, it can also lead to unnecessary battery drain. If you find that auto-brightness is draining your battery too much, you can disable it.”
Screen timeoutThis setting determines how long your screen stays on after you stop using it. “A shorter screen timeout will save battery power, but it can also be inconvenient if you forget to lock your phone,” Lovre says. Be sure to take your personal needs into consideration when adjusting this setting to maximize your battery power.
