Dolly Parton continues to promote her upcoming album, Rockstar, (set for a November 17th release) in style! The country music icon, 77, has taken to Instagram, sharing a series of new sizzling posts that feature her in an all-black ensemble, designed to bring attention to her first rock album.
With collaborations featuring renowned artists like her goddaughter Miley Cyrus, fellow country-pop crooner Sheryl Crow, rock legends like Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Elton John, and more, Parton’s new album promises to be an exciting and dynamic addition to her already impressive repertoire.
In the new photos and videos shared with her 6.4 million IG Instagram followers, Parton looks fierce in a shiny black leather bodysuit that hugs her curves, classic fishnet tights, and thigh-high, lace-up boots. The “Jolene” hitmaker poses on a pink satin background while holding a black electric guitar, adorned with silver chain detailing.
Parton’s finishing touches include cat-eye sunglasses, metal dangly earrings, chunky rings, and a hot pink manicure, creating an unforgettable and impactful image that perfectly captures the essence of her new music. The “Here You Come Again” singer’s fans on IG couldn’t get enough of her outfit, and headed to comment sections under her recent posts to share their thoughts on her monochromatic ensemble and rock-and-roll yet girly aesthetic.
“Marilyn Monroe vibes, but rock star version,” one wrote as another added, regarding her “ageless” appearance: “You just keep getting younger and younger.” Someone else chimed in, commenting: “STUNNNNNNING.” One replied: “Dolly honey, you wear a mean black leather and continue to look good.”
Parton has also noted (by releasing the official track list) that other songs on the record will feature collabs with Stevie Nicks, Debbie Harry, Melissa Etheridge, P!nk, Brandi Carlile, Peter Frampton, Chris Stapleton, Steven Tyler, John Fogerty, Sting and so many more.
Fan anticipation is high for the opportunity to indulge in the entirety of the new album! One devotee on IG referred to it as the “most anticipated album of the year” as another stressed that they are “so excited” and “can’t wait to get the album tomorrow!!!” (Us, too!)
