House Approves Impeachment Inquiry Into Joe Biden
The House voted with a 221-212 majority last week to approve an impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden. His son, Hunter, is in quite a bit of legal trouble, and it appears that Republicans are trying to take Joe Biden down with his son, despite having any evidence.
Democrats are outraged at this stunt pulled off by the Republican majority. "This whole thing is an extreme political stunt. It has no credibility, no legitimacy, and no integrity. It is a sideshow," says Representative Jim McGovern, a Democrat from Massachusetts.
Many believe that some Republican representatives have not-so-pure motivations for lauching this investigation into Biden. When asked by a reporter, "What are you hoping to gain from an impeachment inquiry?" Republican Representative Troy Nehls from Texas replied, "All I can say is Donald J. Trump 2024."
Donald Trump Calls Joe Biden 'Guilty As Hell'
Donald Trump was elated at the announcement of a formalized impeachment inquiry. He took to Truth Social, as he was banned from Twitter, to share his thoughts:
"I got Impeached TWICE, was found NOT GUILTY, TWICE, but the Democrats never gave me the benefit or luxury of an Impeachment INQUIRY. Had they done so I never would have been Impeached They went straight to a Trial, before knowing anything about my complete and total innocence. WITCH HUNT! It was disgraceful."
He then continued by saying, "Biden is lucky to only have an Inquiry, and he's GUILTY AS HELL!"
Another post simply reads: "JOE BIDEN IS A THREAT TO DEMOCRACY!"
Trump has not yet elaborated on why he believes Joe Biden is guilty, or what he believes he is guilty of, nor has he explained why he is a threat to democracy.
