Donald Trump’s fraud lawsuit is still going on in New York—and he’s still not happy about it. Especially after many members of his family, including Ivanka, were called to testify. He’s taken to the social media platform Truth Social to post his thoughts about what he calls “injustice,” and is now claiming that the entire law enforcement system in America is “weaponized” and “dangerous.”
Donald Trump has been found liable for fraud in the state of New York—NY Attorney General Letita James has filed against him, his company, The Trump Organization, and his two sons, Eric and Don. Jr., for fraudulently inflating his net worth in order to get more favorable rates on bank loans. Keep reading for more information.
Donald Trump Calls Law Enforcement ‘Weaponized’ In Social Media Post
As multiple members of his family have been called to testify in his trial, the former president has gotten more and more angry that the court is involving them. His most recent post to Truth Social is a prime example of this. It reads, “The Radical Left Democrats in Congress, under the influence of the Crooked Joe Biden Regime, viciously subpoenaed my COMPLETELY INNOCENT family, and deposed them for a total of 18 hours based on Russia, Russia, Russia, and other Fake News.”
He then targeted President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, who currently faces multiple criminal charges in his federal tax case. The Truth Social post continues: “Certainly, Hunter Biden should be treated in the same manner. Just because the DOJ, FBI and IRS consistently turn a blind eye to Biden crimes and corruption, doesn’t mean Republicans in Congress should do the same.”
He concludes the post by writing, “Our Law Enforcement is not only Weaponized, it is a dangerous, Two-Tiered System.”
Trump Has Said He Will 'Weaponize' The Justice System In The Past
Trump outright called the American law enforcement "weaponized," but has also claimed in the past that he will weaponize the FBI if he were re-elected in 2024. On Nov. 9th, he appeared on Univision, a Spanish-language television network, and host Enrique Acevedo asked him, "You say they've weaponized the justice department, they weaponized the FBI. Would you do the same if you’re re-elected?"
Donald Trump then replied that he would: "They’ve already done it, but if they want to follow through on this, yeah, it could certainly happen in reverse. They’ve released the genie out of the box," he said. "They have done something that allows the next party, I mean if somebody, if I happen to be president and I see somebody who’s doing well and beating me very badly, I say go down and indict them, mostly they would be out of business. They’d be out. They’d be out of the election." It appears that Trump has no problem weaponizing the justice system on his behalf.
