With all the content surrounding the Democratic National Convention, Donald Trump certainly had to do something photo-worthy to post to his socials. Only what he came up with did not amuse anyone on Twitter. While visiting Detroit, Michigan, the former president decided to deliver pizzas to a Trump campaign office—pizzas that had already been delivered and seemingly enjoyed. Donald Trump’s Staged Campaign Event
While in Detroit for a campaign stop, the 78-year-old decided to stop by one of his supporters’ campaign offices, the TrumpForce47 campaign office to be specific, an organization that describes themselves as “the official army of volunteer neighborhood organizers working together to defeat Kamala Harris and the far-left liberal Democrats.” Kevin Rinke, one of the members of this establishment, saw the opportunity for a photo shoot, or rather, staged an opportunity for a photoshoot, according to Twitter.
He shared a video of Trump walking through the door of their office carrying two boxes of pizzas to cheers from the crowd that had gathered inside, though when the video pans to one side to show Trump hugging and shaking hands with his fans, you can see at least ten other boxes of the same pizzas already stacked on a separate table. If you look even closer, it seems as if one of the two boxes of pizza that Trump was “delivering” had already been opened.
Twitter Reacts To Donald Trump's Pizza Delivery
Users on Twitter were quick to point out these details, and made their own posts on Twitter calling the Republican nominee out for staging photos. "Why was he carrying a pizza box in while there are pizzas on the table already?!?!" one person wrote. "Another setup!"
"This guy has no idea how to handle a pizza," another person pointed out, referencing the part in the video where Trump tilts the boxes up. "Those boxes are either empty or there is just absolute devastation on the lid."
"More lies as the pizza boxes are obviously empty and the pizzas are on the table,'" another said. "Nothing the man does is remotely honest."
"That's rich," another person said. "Consider it is a set up. So embarrassing."
"The pizza was already there before he came," another person posted alongside a screenshot of the video with the other stacks of pizza in the frame. "Fake, staged, cringe-y, and lame."
