Donald Trump is facing intense backlash on X, formerly Twitter, after sharing a disturbing video showing Joe Biden hog tied in the back of a pickup truck. Donald Trump Shares A Disturbing Video
The video in question is of a pick up truck decorated with pro-Trump signage and other paraphernalia with a life-sized sticker covering the tailgate. The sticker shows Joe Biden hog tied and laying down, making it appear as if he is actually in the back of the truck. There have been multiple sightings of these stickers on different pick up trucks.
If its existence wasn't disturbing enough already, Donald Trump made things much worse by actually posting it to his social media account, @realDonaldTrump on Truth Social, with the caption "3/28/24 | LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK..."
In less than 30 minutes, the post had already garnered almost 2,000 likes, nearly 200 comments, and over 500 reposts.
Donald Trump Slammed For 'Inciting Violence'
A spokesperson for the Biden campaign, Michael Tyler, spoke out against Donald Trump in a statement shared with NBC News: "This image from Donald Trump is the type of crap you post when you're calling for a bloodbath or when you tell the Proud Boys to 'stand back and stand by," he said.
"Trump is regularly inciting political violence and it's time people take him seriously—just ask the Capitol Police officers who were attacked protecting our democracy on January 6," he continued, referencing the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol Building in Washington, DC, by Trump's supporters. Trump made no move to de-escalate violence then, either, and recently said that one of his "first acts" if he were to be elected president would to be to pardon any of the attackers that were prosecuted.
Joyce Alene White Vance, former US attorney for the Northern District of Alabama, took to X to share her thoughts: "I know from experience how the Secret Service interacts with people who make threats against POTUS, even ones they can't carry out," she said. "This, from a former president, is totally out of bounds. It's time to stop letting Trump break the rules. Long past time."
