Donald Trump has been pretty vocal when it comes to attacking his political opponents, namely Joe Biden, and one of the verbal assaults he often falls back on is pointing out the president’s old age. Biden is currently 81-years-old, which Trump loves to point out, despite being 78-years-old himself.
During his speech at a convention of Turning Point Action in Detroit this past weekend, Donald Trump brought up the age point again, suggesting that Biden should take a “cognitive test.” Keep reading for more information.
Donald Trump Thinks Joe Biden Should Take A Cognitive Test
Discussing his political opponent Joe Biden at the convention of Turning Point Action in Detroit last week, Trump announced that Biden "doesn't even know what the word 'inflation' means." To follow this, he said, "I think he should take a cognitive test like I did."
He then went on to boast that his doctor said he was "the healthiest president, he feels, in history." Unfortunately, this didn't quite work out like he planned, as in his very next sentence he confused his own doctor's name—repeatedly.
Donald Trump Confuses His Doctor's Name
"Doc Ronny Johnson," he said, speaking of White House physician and Texas Republican Representative Ronny Jackson. "Does everyone know Ronny Johnson, congressman from Texas? He was the White House doctor and he said I was the healthiest president, he feels, in history. So I liked him very much indeed, immediately."
Not, apparently, enough to remember his name! While it may seem like a small confusion, fans were quick to point out that he shouldn't talk-the-talk, if he can't walk-the-walk.
"In case anyone is confused, he was referring to Dr. Ronny Jackson, and he just glitched the names," another person said. "Now I can't explain the rest of it because he's just not cognitively there anymore." "Trump couldn't remember the name of his own doctor," another person tweeted. "Yet we're supposed to believe he's in way better shape than Biden? Who's gaslighting whom?"
