Donald Trump Tells Tucker Carlson He Doesn’t ‘See How It’s Possible’ For Joe Biden To Seek A Second Term: ‘There’s Something Wrong’

Donald Trump didn’t hold back on his opinions on Joe Biden seeking re-election for a second term in his interview on Tucker Carlson Tonight on Tuesday, April 11th, which took place at his Mar-a-Lago residence. In the interview, the first interview since his arraignment in New York on April 4th, the 76-year-old twice-impeached former president spoke with Tucker Carlson about his indictment and a range of other topics, but it was his thoughts on President Biden seeking a second term that stood out the most.
Biden, 80, has yet to make an official announcement, but he told NBC meteorologist Al Roker on Monday, April 10th at the White House Easter Egg Roll that he does “plan on running,” and then said “but we’re not prepared to announce it yet.” Roker, 68, asked, “I was just wondering, Mr. President, will you be taking part in the Easter Egg Rolls, planning on, after 2024?” and Biden said, “I plan on at least three or four more Easter Egg Rolls. Maybe five… Maybe six, what the [expletive.] I don’t know,” which led people to believe that was his way of hinting he would be running.

“Do you think Biden will stay in the race?” Carlson asked Trump, who then said that he wasn’t sure whether the current president could handle another campaign, using Monday’s very “easy” interview with Roker as the latest example to prove, in his opinion, that he isn’t up to the task. “Look, I watch him just like you do. And I think it’s almost inappropriate for me to say it, but I deal with other people. I don’t see how it’s possible, and it’s not an age thing,” Trump said.
“But there’s something wrong. I saw his answer on television about whether or not he was going to run, to a very nice guy named Al Roker,” he continued, before going on to say that Biden gave “a long answer about the eggs and this and that.” He added: “Look, I don’t think he can.”

Trump then said that Biden is “surrounded by vicious, smart people – radical left people, but they’re very smart and they’re very vicious,” adding, “It’s not him.”
And when Carlson asked Trump who would replace Biden if he doesn’t run, he said: “Well, obviously the one they would talk about would be the vice president, Kamala. That would be the one that they talk about. But I don’t think she’s performed well on the big stage. I mean, maybe I’m wrong, but there are certain people who will go crazy if it’s not her. They’re gonna be very angry if it’s not her. That’s a problem.”
