Donald Trump Jr. is currently in hot water on Twitter over emails he allegedly sent several years ago leaking to the public, in which the former president’s son expressed racist and derogatory beliefs.
The emails are part of a lawsuit involving the eldest Trump child’s close friend, Gentry Beach. Beach, who was a groomsman at Trump Jr.’s 2005 wedding to now-ex wife Vanessa Haydon, is currently involved in legal proceedings with his former hedge-fund employer, Touradji Capital Management, in which Beach has accused the company of withholding tens of millions of dollars he feels he is owed.
Trump Jr. Confidante Involved In Legal Battle With Hedge-Fund Company
The main question regarding the emails, initially, is how they got involved in the lawsuit in the first place if Trump Jr. himself is not a part of the legal matter. In short, Touradji Capital Management is using the emails as part of their defense as evidence to attempt to show that Gentry Beach was disloyal to the employer and exposed the company to reputational harm (including within the specified emails, which were sent to and from Beach's work account), thus making him unworthy of his demanded compensation.
In the emails, which became public in part via court transcripts, Trump Jr. made such comments as complaining that a friend of his "[encouraged] Mexicans to come to the U.S. and [gave] them another excuse not to learn English," to which Beach replied, "I'm going to park [my son] at the border with a s--- pile of ammo." The messages in question were sent between Trump Jr. and Beach circa 2005-2008. Beach had argued that the emails sent between himself and Trump Jr. from his work email account between 2005 and 2008 should be redacted, or at the very least Trump Jr.'s names should be redacted from them, but according to the Wall Street Journal, New York Judge Andrea Masley said on Thursday that Beach's embarrassment over the emails' contents—which his lawyers have admitted is "highly inappropriate, shameful, [and] inexcusable"—doesn't preclude the emails from being released to the public.

Another exchange between Trump Jr. and Beach saw the younger Donald seemingly attacking Black New Yorkers, saying that upper Manhattan had so many Black residents at the time of writing that it "looks like Harlem" and that he could "hear the theme song of The Jeffersons playing in the background." Beach is still attempting to get the rest of the emails sealed by a judge, but if Masley's ruling stays precedent, we may be seeing many more controversial exchanges between the pair released in the near future.
Twitter Users Comment: Trump Jr. Emails 'Racist AF'
Segments of emails between Trump Jr. and Beach have reached the public, and Twitter was practically on fire last week with commentary about the allegedly racist contents. Many called the derogatory comments made by both Donald and Gentry "racist", and still more others remarked that the beliefs "[run] in the family" and that Don Jr. is a "scumbag," with the racism espoused being, in their opinion, unsurprising:
Being racist af:
“I hear the theme song of the Jeffersons playing in the background,” Don Jr. wrote in another email after referring to Upper Manhattan, where Beach had just moved at the time, to Harlem.https://t.co/13ZZNXpfUa https://t.co/yMBwV9jy8w — Willy is free (@MogliRocks) June 16, 2023
Donald Trump, Jr. was found to be racist in emails?
The grandson of KKK member Fred Trump? The son of the man who took out a newspaper ad calling for the death penalty in the wake of the accused (now exonerated) Central Park 5? Surprise, surprise, surprise. — Danny (@Mardigroan) June 16, 2023
It runs in the family:

However, other users took a more laissez faire approach to the news:

It remains to be seen whether more incendiary emails penned by Donald Trump Jr. will be released during the progression of Gentry Beach's lawsuit. Trump Jr. currently faces involvement in his father's hush money-related indictment, as he personally signed one of the checks at the center of the charges.
