It doesn’t seem like Donald Trump is taking his court-appointed gag order seriously, as he has once again decided to rant about his political opponents on his social media platform, Truth Social.
Following President Joe Biden’s Veterans Day speech, the 77-year-old Republican former president decided to let people know what was on his mind, and referred to his opponents as “vermin” – a dehumanizing term previously used by both Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini.
Joe Biden’s Veterans Day Speech
Trump’s recent tirade came following Biden’s Veterans Day speech at the Memorial Amphitheater at Arlington National Cemetery. In his own speech, Biden said: “Most Americans never see the sacrifices that you as family members also make. They will never see those holidays, birthdays, made special even with the empty seat at the dinner table. They’ll never see all of those nights spent waiting for word from a loved one deployed overseas because you are not sure.”
“Too often, the sacrifices go without thanks or without acknowledgment,” Biden continued, adding, “We must remember only 1% of our society today protects 99% of us.”
Donald Trump Attacks His Political Opponents
Trump's words, which he delivered on Truth Social, were a little different to say the least, as he vowed to "root out" what he called "the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country."
On Saturday November 11th, Trump wrote: "In honor of our great Veterans on Veteran's Day [sic], we pledge to you that we will root out the Communists, Marxists, Fascists, and Radical Left Thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our Country, lie, steal, and cheat on Elections, and will do anything possible, whether legally or illegally, to destroy America, and the American Dream."
"The threat from outside forces is far less sinister, dangerous, and grave, than the threat from within," his post continued. "Despite the hatred and anger of the Radical Left Lunatics who want to destroy our Country, we will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
