Donald Trump Says 'Most People Don't Have Any Idea' What A Phone App Is During Wisconsin Speech
In his speech, the current Republican nominee referenced the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) app, which allows immigrants to schedule appointments to present themselves at a port of entry and for carriers to request cargo inspections.
"They have a phone app so that people can come into our country," Trump said. "These are smart immigrants, I guess, because most people don't have any idea what the hell a phone app is," he added.
As expected, videos of Trump's speech appeared on social media shortly afterwards; and people didn’t hesitate to troll him! "In one speech, 78-year-old retiree Donald Trump (1) misidentified an AK-47 as a MK-4, (2) claimed that most people don't know what a phone app is, and (3) had the audacity to say that Kamala Harris is 'mentally disabled.' He's clearly mentally incompetent to hold any office," recapped one X user, alongside a video of some of Trump's speech.
Donald Trump Gets Dragged On X Following His Speech
"He was extra Trump muppety yesterday," replied one X user. "Republicans know he's mentally unstable," wrote a second, as a third concurred: "Trump continues to display his incompetence on a daily basis. At the end of a potential 2nd term he'll be 82 years old." The same user then asked: "Why aren't Republicans pressuring him to drop out of the race?"
"They used to say people have 'gone round the bend'. He's gone around many, many bends," quipped another user. "Trump's actually showing signs of severe dementia & crickets from the media," observed another, as someone else called him: "Mentally and morally incompetent."
"In the mental state Trump is... he couldn't even get a part-time job at a McDonald's warehouse," joked another X user. "He's the biggest [expletive] joke ever to run for president and a former president. A [expletive] disgrace," slammed another, while someone else added: "Every time he says something like this, I remind myself that he's still ahead in the polls and just feel like I don't want to exist anymore."
