During an interview on Steve Bannon‘s “War Room” podcast, Jason Miller, Donald Trump’s senior communications adviser, relayed what the former president had to say about the bombshell Oprah interview. Unsurprisingly, he did not have a good review of Meghan Markle.
According to Miller, Trump said, "She’s no good… I said it and now everybody is seeing it."
Trump has taken issue with Markle in the past, especially when she voted for Hilary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election. At the time, Markle explained that her support was "not because she is a woman, but because Trump has made it easy to see that you don’t really want that kind of world that he’s painting."
Hearing that, Trump told The Sun in 2019, he was "shocked" by her comments.
He explained, "I didn’t know that. What can I say? I didn’t know that she was nasty."
With this tense history in mind, it's no surprise that Trump claimed that he was "on team Piers."
If that wasn't clear enough, Trump continued, "Piers Morgan is the best, he’s the greatest, and they went and tried to cancel him simply because he criticized Meghan Markle."
