He continued, saying, "The person that I think I like is a very good person, a pretty standard. I think people won't be that surprised, but I would say there's probably a 25 percent chance that would be that person."

Baier pressed on, asking Trump if Tim Scott, a Republican from South Carolina that dropped out of the GOP primary race in November, could potentially be his running mate. But again, Trump sidestepped around the question, merely calling him a "great guy" before describing other South Carolinian political figures.

Redditors Try To Guess Trump's Running Mate

In a thread on Reddit, users have gone back and forth with different ideas of who Trump may pick as his vice president. "Typically a candidate's VP choice is made to balance out a deficiency in the candidate's base," one user explained. "I think he will pick a woman to attempt to broaden his appeal.

"I'd be surprised if he picks anyone," another person wrote. "Dictators don't usually like vice-dictators." Trump has previously said that he will be a "dictator" on "day one" of his presidency, if he is elected.

"I predict he chooses Donald Trump Jr.," one person said.

"I think Trump will have to pick someone 100% on the MAGA train who will back his next play for dictatorship," a final person said. "He will not pick Haley or anyone who criticized him one iota while running."
