With all the constant changes happening in the beauty world, there’s one tool that still seems to be the best when it comes to applying foundation: The Beauty Blender. This colorful little guy perfectly blends foundation into the skin, leaving no streaks or spots. And, it comes in various shapes, sizes, and colors, ensuring that everyone will get the perfect finish every time.
Since this product is so amazing, it’s no surprise that several companies have begun releasing knockoff versions of it. These knockoffs are typically cheaper than the original Beauty Blender, which may seem like a bargain. But, that doesn’t mean that it’s worth it. There’s a scary downside to buying knockoff beauty blenders and it can be doing a lot of damage to your skin.
Most knockoff beauty blenders aren’t made with the same strong material as the original. Not only does this affect the quality the product or how it applies your foundation, but it makes the sponge absorb most of your makeup.
This will make you use more foundation than needed, and all that stored up product inside the knockoff could make you break out, too! Or worse, give you an infection from all of the bacteria inside! If you’re going to use a knockoff blender, make sure that you’re washing it regularly and getting all the makeup out of it.
