Fall is officially upon us, meaning your Starbucks trips are going to become more frequent. Now is the season of the pumpkin spice latte, which will lead us straight into the holidays with all of Starbucks’ most festive drinks, like peppermint mocha lattes and gingerbread lattes. And it’s not just about the seasonal flavors – as the days become colder, hot drinks become increasingly necessary.
But, as we all know, many of Starbucks drinks are bad for you - and it's usually the more flavorful ones that are higher in sugar. In fact, there is one Starbucks drink that employees say you should never order - and not for the reason you would think.
Starbucks employees say you should never order the S'mores Frappuccino. A venti size of this delicious blended drink has 90 grams of carbs, 83 grams of sugar and 21 grams of fat - but this isn't the only reason why you shouldn't order it.
The S'mores Frappuccino is one of the most inconvenient drinks to make at Starbucks.
"When I was a barista, I remember thinking this drink was a nightmare because of the sheer amount of time it took to make it," a former Starbucks barista told Business Insider.
The process of makng this Frap includes a specially-made marshmallow whipped cream, and if there isn't any left the barista has to make an entirely new canister before even starting to mix the drink.
This drink is annoying for baristas to mix, plus ordering it means you could be waiting a long time before your drink is even ready.
