One of the most shocking moments from the Grammys on Sunday, April 3rd undoubtedly had to be Dua Lipa sashaying onto the red carpet with a brand new platinum blonde waist-length hair style! We were *not* expecting her to ditch her signature raven locks and undergo such an epic hair transformation; but boy were we grateful for it! (We needed to be blown away by an awards ceremony in a non-Will-Smith-slapping-Chris-Rock-at-the-Oscars way; and the 26-year-old singer and Versace muse delivered!)
And as if that wasn’t enough to process, the “New Rules” singer also outdid herself with her fashion choice too, re-wearing Cindy Crawford’s iconic (and we really do mean iconic!) bondage Gianni Versace dress from the Fall/Winter 1992 collection, proving that she is a sartorial force to be reckoned with.
Lipa's jaw-dropping blonde hair (which wowed us just as much as Sofia Vergara's epic blonde hair transformation!) has understandably got the whole internet talking – especially as just one day before the awards ceremony, she posted an image to her Instagram account with her super-dark tresses, and not one hint of wanting to change up her color in sight! Fans understandably had questions about the hair-over, with many wondering whether the blonde was a permanent change or whether she was wearing a wig for the occasion…
"WHAT ABOUT THE HAIR JUST A WIG OR YOU DID RETURN BLOND DUA?" one fan excitedly questioned, to which another fan replied with, "I hope not!! She’s stunning as a brunette!" Another fan weighed in on the blonde vs brunette debate, with the overall conclusion being that Dua can pull off both. (And we definitely agree!) "As a blonde myself, I’m usually pro-blonde all the way. But, with Dua, she is beautiful with blonde hair and absolutely stunningly gorgeous with dark hair," the Insta-user wrote. "Slayyyyyy," another fan commented, followed by a red heart emoji. "Love the platinum hair," they added. "BLONDUA IS BACK," exclaimed another fan, followed by the ever-popular heart-eyes emoji. "Why does she look gorg with any hair colour," another fan commented.
