From her platform sandals to acid wash maxi dresses, Dua Lipa continues to solidify herself as a style icon. The “Don’t Start Now” singer, 26, is spearheading the Y2K revival and often rocks pieces that look straight out of the 90s while still adding others that feel cutting-edge and modern. Lately, the “Levitating” hitmaker has been spotted styling her frayed cutoff denim shorts in various ways that make us so excited for summer!

Last week, the British pop superstar rocked medium-wash cut-off denim shorts in an Instagram post for her 83.4 million followers and fans couldn’t get enough of her ensemble. Lipa paired a lacy, lime green, cut-out bodysuit with her shorts and completed her look with intricate knee-high pink boots with skin-baring cut-outs and rhinestone-adorned patterns. The Future Nostalgia performer posed in an ad for Truly Hard Seltzer and showed us one fun summery look to recreate whether you already have your denim shorts ready or are prepared to grab the scissors and give an old pair of jeans a trim.

The next day, Lipa appeared to don the same (or similar) pair of denim shorts and put together a get-up that could easily work for a rainy spring day or more transitional look as the seasons change. While snapping pics of her girls day with her pals, Lipa was seen wearing the following trendy pieces with her shorts— a quilted cream-colored vest by Stussy, a vertical-striped knit crew sweater from the same hip California-based brand and knee-high brown cowgirl boots from DSquared2. The ever-so-stylish songwriter accessorized with an embroidered black cap from Marine Serre, lime green sunglass frames by Gentle Monster and her classic Hacker Hobo Bag from the Gucci and Balenciaga collab. Love! Lipa captioned her post with six sun emojis and is clearly just as excited for summer style as we are.
