In March, Dunkin' Donuts will be taking its afternoon sandwiches (turkey, cheddar and bacon, ham and cheddar, tuna and chicken salad) off of the menu, as well as the Big N’ Toasted and Angus steak and egg breakfast sandwiches and flatbread items. As for its bakery section, the chain will be getting rid of some of its optional muffins and bagel and cream cheese combinations.
As for their drinks, Dunkin' will no longer sell smoothies or offer peach, caramel and mocha flavor coffee shots.

“Franchisees have been asking for something like this for quite some time,” Chris Fuqua, Dunkin’s senior vice president of operations strategy and supply chain, told The Boston Herald. “They’re facing challenges with labor, and we’re always looking to maximize profitability for franchisees. If you can remove products that are more difficult to make or ... consumers aren’t asking for as much, you can make the stores easier to work in, and you can positively impact their (profit and loss statement).”
There's also some good news that the chain can't wait to share! Dunkin' Donuts has officially stopped using artificial dyes in their doughnuts, according to The Boston Herald, and will completely remove them from all of its products by the end of 2018 -- even in Baskin-Robbins' products, too!
“Consumers have been looking for less artificiality in their food in general," Fuqua said.
Wow, there are a LOT of things happening at Dunkin' Donuts this year.
