More often than not, the person in front of you at your favorite coffee spot will order their beverage with a plant-based, non-dairy milk—be it oat milk, almond milk, soy milk, coconut milk, etc. But at Dunkin’, customers now have one less option to choose from as the chain announced they’re “bidding farewell” to coconut milk. Dunkin' 'Bids Farewell' To Coconut Milk
Dunkin' recently confirmed to CNN that they will no longer be serving coconut milk at any US locations, announcing that they're bidding that non-dairy option "farewell." While the chain didn't specify why it's no longer serving coconut milk, though Robert Byrne, director for consumer and industry insights at Technomic, says that the cost of coconut milk definitely "plays a significant role" in the decision because it's "the most expensive non-dairy milk."
It's also not the most popular non-dairy option, with only 1% of the chain's customers having tried the plant-based beverage. "It can be difficult to justify carrying multiple non-dairy milks when guest demand is less robust," Byrne says.
But, the elimination of coconut milk also means the elimination of the Coconut Refreshers, which are a line of drinks mixing coconut milk and flavored iced tea.

Fans Are Devastated At The Loss Of Coconut Milk At Dunkin'
Many fans took to social media to share their disappointment with the brand for getting rid of their favorite dairy-alternative. "I'm done with dunkin," one user wrote on X, formerly Twitter. "I can't drink anything else and you cut out coconut milk, my daily refreshers won't work without that. Good bye."
"Well considering I only get coconut milk I guess I will be officially a Starbucks girl, even though I definitely prefer Dunkin," another customer tweeted. "Sad."
"Wow," another said. "This is shattering news."
"I'm actually obsessed with the strawberry dragonfruit refresher with coconut milk at Dunkin and finding out today that they have discontinued it after I've been craving one all week had unironically broke my heart lol," wrote one customer.
"Dunkin is getting rid of coconut milk right before I go to New England?" a final fan asked. "They hate me that much?"
