We couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw Eiza Gonzalez glide onto the red carpet at the 2021 Met Gala!

A great Met Gala look keeps everyone talking for months, perhaps even years after. And the 31-year-old Baby Driver star’s 2021 Met Gala look undoubtedly falls into the latter category.
The gorgeous Mexican actress and singer once again slayed the red carpet when she turned up to this year’s Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on Monday September 13, as her jaw-dropping, head-turning scarlet-hued Atelier Versace dress commanded all of the attention.

The dress came in a seductive red color, and featured an inspiring crystal-adorned halter-style neckline which draped around the back of the dress to create a left-hand glove. We’ve never seen anything like it – the attention to detail is mind-blowing! Donatella Versace certainly outdid herself with the creation of this one-of-a-kind haute couture masterpiece. Talk about a work of art!
The MTV VMAs that happened just one day prior already whet our appetites for skin-exposing dresses, some of which also came with edgy thigh high slits; but Gonzalez – who is no stranger to turning up the heat and offering scorching looks – took things to a whole new level!
Although her dress was extremely daring, the Bloodshot actress still oozed class and old Hollywood glamour as she channeled Hollywood icon Ava Gardner with her sizzling, vintage-inspired look. And it wasn’t a coincidence!
Gonzalez made it abundantly clear to her 7.3 million Instagram followers that the Hollywood legend was indeed her inspiration for her highly glamorous look, as she shared some pictures of Gardner to her Instagram Story that same day. She shared a black and white picture, followed by a color one featuring a bold shade of red lipstick, which appeared to match the seductive shade she was wearing on the red carpet.
It's safe to say that Gonzalez understood the sartorial assignment, as this year's Met Gala theme was "America: A Lexicon of Fashion". Paying homage to an American screen legend – one of the greatest and most beautiful of all time, may we add – definitely embraces the theme to us!
