Ellen DeGeneres recently celebrated her 63rd birthday at the end of January, and over the years has built up some impressive finances with a massively successful career. This year, DeGeneres shared the love (and the wealth) during a special birthday episode of her show, offering the audience a number of gifts and proving she’s still doing well, even despite a controversy filled 2020.
According to Yahoo! Finances via Forbes, DeGeneres is currently worth approximately $370 million, and with $84 million coming from last year alone, she secured the number 12 slot on Forbes’ list of highest paid celebs in the world. We can only dream of what that much money would look like!
DeGeneres isn’t the only one doing well for herself--her wife, Portia de Rossi reportedly boasts her own $50 million worth, bringing the couple up to a $420 million net worth. It's no wonder the couple own so many houses!
The actress and majorly successful talk show host has been building her brand since the 90’s when she came onto the scene. She first starred in the hit TV show Ellen before moving on to her more popular talk show persona. DeGeneres has also lent her voice to both Finding Nemo and Finding Dory which undoubtedly raised her net worth innumerably.
Although the 63-year-old has had a rough past year professionally amidst claims of a toxic work environment, it seems that DeGeneres is still doing incredibly well for herself. With a number of other notable business ventures, from her propensity to flip houses to her widely successful “Ellen Tube,” DeGeneres seems to have the golden touch.
