Ellen DeGeneres Is Reportedly ‘Never Coming Back’ After Moving From The US To Europe After Being ‘Kicked Out Of Show Business’

Ellen DeGeneres hasn’t been able to resurrect her reputation ever since she was canceled back in 2021. The former talk show host faced numerous allegations of creating a “toxic work environment” from employees, and she was forced to cancel her show and step out of the spotlight.

In September, the 66-year-old attempted a comeback: releasing a Netflix comedy special called For Your Approval. Unfortunately, it was an epic flop, and DeGeneres has seemingly given up and is listing her California home in favor of living full time in England. Keep reading for more information.

Ellen DeGeneres Is 'Kicked Out Of Show Business'

If you haven't heard Ellen's name in a long time, you're not alone. Ellen DeGeneres essentially went into hiding after her career-ending scandal, resurfacing only recently with her hour-long comedy special. In the stand up show, she addressed her downfall, telling viewers what she's been up to.

"I decided to take up gardening," she said. "I got chickens. Let me see what else can I tell you about what's been going on.. Oh yeah, I got kicked out of show business... Yeah, the 'be kind' girl wasn't kind. That was the headline."

Ellen DeGeneres' Plans To Move To Europe

Though her jokes didn't land well, with many reviews explaining that the low ratings are because of "Ellen's defiant, disagreeable tone in the special." It seems that this stand up special was Ellen's hail mary to get back into Hollywood's good graces, and is now giving up, leaving American behind for good. "Ellen is still angry and she's had enough," an insider said to In Touch. "Her final comedy special is the las time anyone will see her in the public eye."

Instead, she'll put her Montecito mansion up for sale and move full time to the Cotswolds, a rural area in south-central England. While she's noted that Donald Trump's re-election is the primary motivator for the move, most can read between the lines: Hollywood is done with her.
