All eyes have been on Ellen DeGeneres following allegations that the talk show host allowed a toxic work environment to develop behind-the-scenes on the set of Ellen.

While the 62-year-old comedian has largely remained tight-lipped about the accusations, she did release an apologetic memo statement to the staff of her daytime variety show.

DeGeneres isn’t the only one close to the show to recently address the situation. The Ellen DeGeneres Show longtime producer Andy Lassner is now speaking out.

The executive producer took to Instagram to reconnect with his followers following the news that three fellow producers, Ed Glavin, Kevin Leman, and Jonathan Norman would all be leaving their positions at Ellen. Lassner decided it was finally time to break his silence.

Lassner posted an Instagram video on August 30 captioned “I’ve missed my people,”  to address the situation looming around the award-winning show.

“Oh look who it is. If it isn’t Andy Lassner,” Lassner begins the video, as PEOPLE reports. “Well, yes it is. Your eyes do not deceive you. I’m back. I’ve been away for a little bit, dealing with -- you know, some stuff. You may have read about it.”

Lassner revealed that the past few months have been anything but easy. “It’s been a couple of rough months. But it’s when we go through these things, I guess, when we learn the most about ourselves, and maybe even some growth,” Lassner admits. “But to tell you it hasn’t been rough would be a lie, and I’ve always been honest with you. It’s been rough. But I’m back.”

Lassner isn’t the only one who has opened up since the news about Ellen broke. DeGeneres’ wife Portia de Rossi recently shared her support for her wife on Instagram.

“To all our fans....we see you. Thank you for your support,” de Rossi wrote
