Ellen DeGeneres has been canceled a few times now both for her behavior on her show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and her behavior behind the scenes, with multiple allegations of bulling being thrown her way. At this point, she’s mostly slipped into the shadows and lives a relatively quiet life, but that hasn’t stopped videos of the pranks she used to play on her guests from resurfacing, like when she asked Channing Tatum what his biggest fear was and then confronted him with it moments later. Keep reading for more information.

Ellen DeGeneres Pranks Channing Tatum

In the resurfaced clip, Channing Tatum admits that porcelain dolls really freak him out. “I just think they’re really super freaky,” he says to Ellen. In turn, Ellen pulls out a porcelain doll, and proceeds to move it closer and closer to Channing as he moves as far away as possible on his chair. She then produces another one, and then gets up and climbs onto his chair with the doll, and starts holding it up to his face and miming, “I love you, Channing.”

Throughout the entire interaction, Channing looks visibly uncomfortable and is actively trying to get away from Ellen as she continues to climb on top of him with the doll, despite his pleading with her to stop.

Fan Comments

Channing's fans both back then and now have been coming to his defense on social media, writing things like "He's obviously very uncomfortable and it's awful to watch this. You should never confront someone with their worst fear without their permission. So rude."

"That was so mean of her to push that in his face when you can see he is visibly uncomfortable..." another person wrote in a comment on YouTube. "I mean..she just made a joke out of this guy's fears. What a monster."

"Man he was so painfully uncomfortable with the situation," another person agreed. "Not cool shoving someone's phobia in their face really. It looks like he's on the verge of crying."

"Imagine if the roles were reversed and someone climbed on a female guest while holding something they are very scared of..." one person pointed out.
