Some people in the public eye have no problems with showing off their children on social media or in public. (Yes Kim Kardashian, we’re looking at you.)
Others, quite understandably, don’t like showing their children’s faces on social media, or simply don’t want them in the public eye at all. And it seems like Elon Musk‘s ex, Grimes, who he was with for four years before they officially split in 2022, is definitely in that last category!

Grimes Says She Has Been 'Begging' Elon Musk To Keep Their Children Out Of The Public Eye
According to reports, the 37-year-old Canadian singer and songwriter does not want the three children she shares with the 53-year-old Tesla Motors CEO – X Æ A-Xii, 4, Exa Dark Sideræl, 3, and Tau Techno Mechanicus, 2 – in the public eye, especially after X Æ A-Xii was mocked by Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar on The View after he accompanied his father to the White House last month.
The "Genesis" singer – real name Claire Elise Broucher – made her thoughts known on an X post about the alleged sex lives of "many Fortune 500 CEOs" earlier this month, after calling the post "cringe AF."
After an X user told her, "You have children. This is lame," the "Oblivion" artist responded: "I unfortunately do not control the internet and cannot wipe this from the internet."

"I have tried begging the public and my kids' dad to keep them offline, and I've tried legal recourse," she continued, adding: "The state of my children's lives being public is of grave concern to me and I think about how to solve this every day."
The "Welcome to the Opera" hitmaker continued: "It's insane to me that there's no way to deal with this. I would hope there was some law that would allow a parent to veto small children from living public lives, but I don't even trust the law to help me now if I tried to invoke it tbh."

Grimes' Previous Comments About Her Children In The Public Eye
When Musk took son X to the Oval Office on February 11th, Grimes made no secret of how unhappy she was about it. After a fan praised X for being "very polite" on X (formerly Twitter) she responded: "He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I'm glad he was polite. Sigh."
In an interview with Time, which was published on February 25th, the mom-of-three begged: "I would really like people to stop posting images of my kid everywhere. I think fame is something you should consent to. Obviously, things will just be what they are. But I would really, really appreciate that. I can only ask, so I'm just asking."
