Leonardo DiCaprio turned 49 on Nov. 11th and celebrated with a crazy birthday bash on Saturday night at a private venue. Based on the videos, it looked like a great time—especially because the actor treated his guests to a live rap performance of “DWYCK” sung by none other than himself! Though some fans are calling the spectacle “cringe” on Reddit, others are defending the Oscar winner, saying “he’s having fun and everyone else is enjoying themselves.”
Leonardo DiCaprio is famous for being quite the partier, so this celebratory bash was not a surprise. Also attending the event was Beyoncé and her husband, Jay-Z, Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga, Salma Hayek, Chris Rock, and Kate Beckinsale.

A video of Leo’s rap performance has gone viral on TikTok, so fans can see the actor’s performance up close—and get a sense of how fun the party was first-hand. In the video, Leo is seen surrounded by excited friends rapping into a microphone and showing off some moves.
His song of choice was “DWYCK” by Gang Starr and Nice & Smooth, a 1984 hit. And his friends and family seem to be enjoying themselves, cheering him on as he bounces around the room.
Leo also wasn’t the only one to perform that night. Lil Wayne was also in attendance, and put on a wild concert after Leo’s performance, and guests reportedly didn’t leave the event until after 4 in the morning.
